Hi, I’m William Gibson. I have been in the automotive industry since the late 90’s. My passion for automobiles started with my first car, a 1993 Nissan Altima, and that passion has since taken me around the world. Over the years, I became a true enthusiast and developed a desire to connect with others who share the same passion.
I started detailing cars, during high school, in 1998 for a company located in Bolton, Ontario. After graduating high school, I started my own mobile detailing company catering to luxury /exotic vehicles. Over the next 6 years, I honed my skills and made some life-changing contacts in the automotive industry. I began working as an independent broker for international car buyers and became a well-respected supplier to several high-profile vehicle upfitters. My most memorable deal happened in 2010 when I supplied a client with several Ford F350 chassis, which they converted into specialty vehicles for the movie Fast 5. Over the next decade, my understanding and appreciation of global automotive trends grew substantially.
After 15 years of international vehicle redistribution, I moved to Collingwood, Ontario, to enjoy a more laid-back lifestyle. A small-town boy at heart, I have enjoyed immersing myself in the local community, becoming a member of several clubs and a men’s hockey league in Wasaga Beach.
Throughout the years, my passion for meticulous detailing remained, and in the spring of 2024, I decided to return to my roots. Coast Guard Detailing was born with the goal of offering elite detailing and customization services to the community— From the Bay to the Boulevard. Using only the best equipment and products, I strive to continually advance my skills in all areas of aesthetic maintenance.

Paint correction is required before ceramic application.
Please stop by for a consultation so we can assess the scope of work required to achieve the results you desire.
There will be an extra charge for vehicles that require additional time to clean/remove materials including, but not limited to pet hair, grease, mud and chewing gum.
We recommend using our IGL products to maintain your vehicles paintwork after a sealant or ceramic application. This will ensure the longevity of the product.
